Katie Update November 10, 2009

Please be strong for Katie. She is truly fighting this cancer. Nobody said it would be easy but she is being tough. I can see it in her as she lays there looking tired. I hear people saying "she is not doing good"....or "poor Katie".... but she WILL be fine she is a Warrior!!! After all this Katie will be more Beautiful then she has ever been. Just think of it as " Every Beautiful flower has to go through a lot of dirt'
You might be asking....what can I do.....well reality is that the best thing TO DO is to:

Keep her in your thoughts....your prayers....and keep my uncle Miguel in your thoughts and prayers too!!!!

LOVE YOU Auntie Katie and Uncle Miguel Keep up the fight!!!!!

  6. Hi Katie, Miguel and family!
It was so great to see you all finally.
Katie, I'm soooo proud of you. You are truly a fighter and after seeing you, I know you're going to kick this cancer! Thank you for your lovely smile and your very tight hand squeeze, assuring me that you're strong and going to beat this.
Hang in there sweetie! This past week is truly an unpleasant hump that you have to climb over but keep looking ahead because this challenge will help you on your way to getting better.

Miguel, you are a wonderful husband and Katie is very lucky to have you. Take good care of yourself too so that you two can be strong for each other. Remember what we discussed ....Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God"

I love you, miss you and will keep you both in my prayers
    Jasmine

P.S. I'll try to fly back in a few weeks but please all, keep me posted!!

  7. I first met Kathleen and Miguel in Houston when we worked together. Miguel had just broken both legs working on their roof! It was hard on both of them, he was recovering and she was nursing him. But they were both so positive and always smiling knowing they would get through it. They both came to my wedding and I have received numerous blessings from them throughout the years. There are no words for how devastated I am today. Miguel if you can think of anything know how special you both are together. Life changes so quickly. It takes your breath away. You are in my heart every minute.
