I sent everyone a New link today that takes you to set up an account so you can sign in an Blog.
Good NEWS: I will be released as an in patient at MDA tomorrow sometime!!!
My breathing is still difficult and I still have no voice but they want me home so I can begin moving around and building strength while I continue with treatments.
If anyone want to come by on Sunday between 3-6pm..I am going to do the head shaving ceremony ;-) Got to get my Fall look going. Cool, fun hats welcome but not required.
As for my voice--they will not know for awhile how permanent the condition is until they start on the Chemo treatments. It may be some what reversiable but they are not sure at this point.
YEAH!!
ReplyDeleteAT LEAST NOW YOU WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT A BAD HAIR DAY OR WHAT THE WEATHER WILL DO TO YOUR HAIR.
NOW'S THE TIME ALSO IF YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT YOU WOULD LOOK LIKE WITH RED, BLACK OR BROWN HAIR. THE CHANGE JUST MIGHT ROCK MIGUEL'S FANTASY WORLD.
LUV YA
LOL Tracie is so right!!!! I will be there for sure I will bring my wig and hat for sure. I can't wait to see you!!! I may stop by today depending if I can get off early. I have a surprise for you when I go see you!
ReplyDeleteLove you Auntie Katie!!!!
Wish I were there for the hair shaving! You'll look beautiful Katie! Maybe you can get an 80's wig and we can relive dancing to 'You Spin me Round' by Dead or Alive! ;-) LOL
ReplyDeleteBooked flight to fly in next month. Can't wait to see you and hug you! Love, Jasmine
Katie!
ReplyDeleteHeaded Home! Great news. Home is the place to heal body and soul. Hospitals have their place and time, but it is best not to make them a habit.
So... Hair shaving. I am sure that is in my future sometime, but I know I will not look as good as you. I am getting preview, whether I like it or not. Anyway, I will be there in spirit and be looking for the photo. Please share if you like. I will be on the lookout for good quality hats on our travels.
I think of you many times a day, sending positive energy.
Love, Steve-Guy
(Steve-Guy is what Kim's nephews called me early on as in: "Who is this Steve-Guy that Aunt Kim keeps talking about" Name stuck, so that is what they call me here.
Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteThe hair will grow back!! Given Miguel's talent with a camera I think he probably has alreadly worked on different photographs to show you with and without hair! Rest get strong and knock this illness back to wherever it came from. We need you and are all thinking about you.
Robert and your friends at Kenyon!
Hey Kathleen... hope the ceremony went well. I'm sure you will look "mahvelous!"
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wanted to throw you some positive news your way and let you know that my brother will be back at MD Anderson this week. The doctors have "almost" concluded that his chemo knocked out the cancer for good and he may not have any re-occurrences in the future. Of course there is more testing and more waiting, but every new day brings one more hope and joy.
